I am now moving onto my next major topic of hobbies - writing. I love to write books and series, and I get most of my inspiration from the books I read. I currently have two series I am working on: The Hero's Prophecy and Star Catchers. I have to thank a few things for my inspiration for the Hero's Prophecy series: Minecraft, Minecraft Legends, a Minecraft Parody I saw, and the Percy Jackson Series. So, as you can see, Minecraft basically created the Hero's Prophecy, with the help of the Percy Jackson series. I will first go into how exactly the first book was created, so here it goes:
My sister, Katie, was watching Minecraft animations and songs on the computer, but the sound would only work unless the headphones were plugged in so she was wearing them. I was reading, but I just cannot pass up a good MC animation even if there is no sound, so I sat in the chair next to Katie and started watching it. Then I saw one animation that caught my eye. I had no idea at the time that it was a Parody of Radioactive called Redstone Active until I asked Katie, "Can I listen for a minute?" She finally let me listen and that is when I discovered the MC animation was not even an animation! I liked both the song and video though, so I continued to listen while Katie was trying to tug the headphones off my ears saying, "Let me have it! It is my turn!" Of course, why would I listen? So I finished the song, gave her back the headphones, and ran to get my notebook and pencil. I had remembered a lot of the words, plus the full animation since I watched it two times, so I wrote a small 5 page book by the actions of the people in the animation/song. I was inspired at the time and bored of reading so I created a humorous, short book that even Katie likes now. I cannot remember when I decided to turn the book into a series, but I eventually did. Going onto my computer, I started to write and write, but then I stopped, instantly knowing what I wanted to write was not in line with the first book. Thinking for a few days, I finally came up with this: save the short one for Katie as a single book, and re-write the series including Book 1. Well, that was actually a good idea because I instantly started to see a real series, and from then on I just could not stop typing. Of course, finally it was bedtime, but I was up early doing it again. There are some times were I have to stop for a few days because I run out of ideas, but I always come back fresh. Well, that is how the Hero's Prophecy came to be. Here is the link to the Parody that started it all: Redstone Active Parody/Animation In my next post, I will explain about the series and characters, so be ready! Also, I will be adding some MC screenshots in my next post of the main character and the main enemy.
I love this series so far and I hope that you one day publish it.
